Student volunteers are an essential part of the ISS conference. We seek proactive and enthusiastic SVs to help us with providing a smooth and successful conference experience.

As of August 2024, the ISS 2024 is planned to be focused on in-person activities, including in-person-only presentations. We’re looking for people eager to assist us in handling on-site participation. Your tasks as an SV would involve helping attendees and assisting speakers on-site and/or through online support channels, archiving sessions, and keynotes, facilitating organizers, providing information, and generally being a point of contact for all conference attendees. Applications for SV spots will start in late-August. We’ll update this page as soon as we confirm all the necessary information. SV spots will be available mainly for students who are eager to visit Vancouver. As an acknowledgment of the time and energy put in as an SV, we are happy to waive your conference fee and provide unique opportunities to network with an international group of peers. Dedicated SV activities will be provided mainly on-site, with few online. Acting as an SV you agree to several responsibilities

• You will be asked to work up to 20 hours over the course of the conference (before, during, and/or after)
• You will be asked to attend the SV orientation before the start of the main conference
• You will be asked to be present for the entire duration of the conference, including workshop days
